BluEnergy, BluSense and other parts of the Blu-Ecosystem can provide local information about energy consumption, environmental conditions and how a property is behaving. That information can support better decisions and, where connected controls are installed, more intelligent responses.
That principle is supported by wider evidence: UK Government evidence from the smart-meter rollout reports sustained savings of around 3% for electricity and 2.2% for gas-credit households using smart meters and in-home displays. Those figures belong to that research, not to Blu-Tect, and no claim is made that every property will achieve the same result.

For a property left empty while its owners are away, that can mean an unexpected leak is detected and the supply isolated rather than the problem waiting for somebody to return home.
